Pearl Theater packed fun activities

Looking for ways to make the most out of fall?

The Pearl Theater has plenty of options this month.

First up is "Book Talk" on Thursday, Oct. 19. This book club is fun and unique — instead of books you have to read, you get to talk about the books you are reading.

The event is held from 6-8 p.m. and will be held at the Pearl Theater, 7160 Ash St.

On Friday and Saturday, the Draw the Circle Wide event will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and a matinee show on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Directed by Vicki Blake, the show features sons celebrating the sacred hoop of all life and peoples on the planet.

Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the the door

On Oct. 24, Farryn Dodge, owner of Backwoods Yoga, brings her practice to the Pearl. Class begins at 8:30 a.m.

Dodge, who has been practicing yoga for nine years, is certified in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and has gone through extra training in children's yoga.

Classes last 50-60 minutes depending on the sequence. Each class is $10 which can be paid with cash before class or with card via Momoyoga.

Tarot and Tea, set for Oct. 29, is a fun way to learn about tarot and other intuition and divination cards or practices. The event is good for beginners or just the curious.

This is a free event, light refreshments are served. The program is held from 12-2 p.m. at the Pearl.

Get ready for Halloween and enjoy a free movie at the Pearl as the Sanderson sisters come to visit.

"Hocus Pocus" will be shown at 3 p.m. with doors opening at 2:30 p.m. Seating is limited to 50 people.

Next up, this on Oct. 31, is a Halloween party. A costume contest, photo booth and treats at the Pearl Café. The party takes place from 5:30-10 p.m.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Hosted by Curtain Call Drama Club and The Pearl Theater's Youth Outreach Committee.
