Halloween events abound in community
With Halloween just around the corner, there are plenty of fun activities on tap in the community for everyone from the young to the young at heart.
Activities include:
Oct. 27
• Halloween bingo night: 6 p.m., Paradise Valley Grange; cards are $1 each. Bingo fun with a 50/50 raffle, costume contest, and silent auction are also planned. A fifth game will benefit the Bonners Ferry Senior Hospitality Center.
Oct. 28
North Bench Volunteer Fire Department chili fundraiser: Noon, NBVFD station. The community is invited to join the firefighters for a fun family day with chili, games, prizes, craft projects, a bake sale, and more. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
Oct. 31
• Harvest Night 2023: 5-7 p.m., Bonners Ferry High School, Tamarack Lane. This event is sponsored by BFHS student leadership. Donations of candy and money are welcome to help fund the event.
• Fall Festival: 5:30-7 p.m., First Baptist Church, 6711 El Paso St.; free community event with games, candy, face painting, and more.
• Halloween dance: 5:30-10 p.m., Pearl Theater, 7160 Ash St; hosted by Curtain Call Drama Club. Activities include costume contest, dance, photo booth and more. Dance is for ages 13-20; those 8-12 must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free.
• Trunk or treat: 6 p.m., Boundary County Annex Building, 6566 Main St., Bonners Ferry. This is the fifth annual trunk or treat event by Boundary County employees. The event is again part of the Teal Pumpkin Project.
