Youth does well on season's opening day
Tycen Koberstein, 11, is pictured with a 6x7 bull scoring 337 that he shot on opening day of rifle season in North Idaho with his dad Ryan Koberstein and Uncle Trevor Koberstein.
This is his second year of hunting and after shooting his first elk last year. He was successful again this year with a dandy 712 yard long range shot to make it happen this year.
His parents, Sydney and Ryan Koberstein are having Dan Hopper with Hooper Taxidermy do a mount of the youth's successful hunt.
The Bonners Ferry Herald invites local hunters to share their trophy and hunting photos from the 2023 season.
Photos just might end up in the next edition of the Herald. Photos may be edited to ensure photos are not graphic in nature. Tell us who is in the photo and where the photo was taken.
Email photos to news@bonnersferryherald.com or submit them to our website under “All Sections,” click “submissions” and “submit a photo.” Best hunting.
