Local 9/11 Memorial hosted by BCCC
BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary County Chaplain Corps is hosting the annual 9/11 Memorial on Monday, Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Boundary County Fairgrounds Pavilion.
“Representatives of emergency services agencies will be in attendance, and the public is urged to attend as we remember and reflect upon one of the most momentous days in our national history,” Chaplain Len Pine said.
The commemoration will feature a tolling of the bell to honor those who died at the twin towers in New York, a reading to call all to courage and hope, and a final bell toll to honor the dead at the Pentagon, Shanksville, and the first responders that perished in New York that horrific day. The Boundary County Fire Rescue Honor Guard will present the colors.
“Please come and demonstrate to our region that Boundary County honors and emulates the courage in the face of tragedy that was so abundantly seen in the events of 9/11,” Pine said.
The venue is covered, and the event will take place rain or shine.
Seating will be available. For more information, please contact Chaplain Len Pine at 208-946-9761.
