Facts matter on Reclaim Idaho

Facts matter. That is why I’m responding to Michael Perez’s recent letter in the Herald.

In his letter, Mr. Perez asserts that a majority of Reclaim Idaho’s funding comes from out-of-state Democratic Party interests.

First of all, I challenge Mr. Perez to back up his assertion with factual evidence.

Secondly, I urge him and other doubters to check the financials for Reclaim Idaho. If Mr. Perez did that, he would find that over 95 percent of the donors reside in Idaho. What is the proof you may ask? Go to Idaho’s campaign finance website, which is administered by the Secretary of State.

As for Mr. Perez’s comment about “snake oil salesmen,” isn’t that a new television show on Fox?
