BF Farmers Market closing for season
BONNERS FERRY — It’s not too late to head to the farmers market before the season ends.
The Bonners Ferry Farmers Market has two more outdoor markets for the 2023 season, with Oct. 7 being the Harvest Festival and closing day.
The harvest festival will include a Harvest Photo Booth and trick or treating for kids at the vendor’s booths.
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will have an apple press at the market for visitors to press apples into juice in an effort to reduce bears being drawn to apple trees in the county.
Officials said the press is first-come, first-serve and request market-goers only bring a reasonable amount of apples so everyone has a chance to use the press. It is BYOC, bring your own container.
The Bonners Ferry Farmers Market will return for a Holiday Market at the Boundary County Fairgrounds at the Exhibit Hall on Nov. 17-18 and Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. offering holiday gifts and goodies.
