Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness

It is a short six weeks before the residents of Boundary County go to the polls to choose nominees of the political parties to compete in the November general election. 

America was founded on the phrase which is the title of this little comment. Our rights begin with life. Nothing else matters if you are not alive. Sadly this is the case of millions of children whose lives were snuffed out by abortion since 1973. The number of victims is estimated to be between 60 and 65 million. Since Roe v. Wade was overturned, the forces of death are striving to codify abortion in state constitutions across the U.S. Our state legislators need to stand up for the lives of the unborn, for if their lives are expendable then all of ours are at risk.

Any candidate who supports the murder of unborn children is unfit for public office. The primary founding document of this country is the Declaration of Independence. The phrase at the top of this article comes from that document. Remember that when you go to vote in May. May really does matter for the weakest members of our society, and for all of us, too.
