Bonners Ferry freshman point guard Taren Bateman (19.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists) was named to the 3A girls second team. Bateman had a season high of 40 points against Lincoln County.
“What a well deserved honor,” Bonners Ferry head girls coach Paula Petesch. “Taren has worked hard both in and out of season. She definitely lives and breathes basketball and yet she still wants to learn.”
“Comparing her stats with others on the All State team, she will be a player to watch in the years to come. She's playing on a sponsored AAU team this summer and I'm excited to see where her Badger team will go next year with her at the helm,” she said
