Vote Dave Walter for precinct chair

| April 18, 2024 1:00 AM

I have known Dave Walter and his family my entire life. Dave is currently running for the position of Republican committeeman for the Bonners Ferry/Kootenai Precinct and is highly qualified to serve in that position.

Dave was born and raised in Boundary County and graduated from Bonners Ferry High School and the University of Idaho. Upon graduating from college, he entered the US Air Force and served for five years, during which he was an instructor pilot at Williams Air Force Base in Arizona. In 1975, he and his wife, Brenda, moved to Boise, where Dave began his 40-year career in banking. In 1982, Dave, with Brenda and children Mike and Sarah, moved back to Bonners Ferry. For 33 years, he served the financial needs of the farming and business communities and the residents of Boundary County.

Throughout his adult life, Dave has been involved in community service. He served on the hospital board for 17 years, the airport board as chairman, the Economic Development Council, and the Kaniksu Health Clinic Board, and was a member of Kiwanis. He is a charter member of the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club and served two terms as president and two terms as assistant governor of District 5080. He also served as co-chairman of the successful levy to build the current Bonners Ferry High School, which was completed in 2005.

Currently, he is chairman of the Bonners Ferry Urban Renewal Agency and is serving his second term as a Rotary WGIPPA Board Member.

I urge you to vote for Dave Walter for Republican Precinct Committeeman for the Bonners Ferry/Kootenai Precinct. He has proven his commitment to our community. He is also a voice of reason and a person who is willing to listen to and work with others to improve the opportunities and services available to the residents of Boundary County.
