Experience is critical, vote for VanGesen
What is needed in a sheriff? Experience, knowledge, leadership, ability to work well with people, managing multi-million dollar budgets, and writing grants are all critical.
Only one sheriff’s candidate has this experience — Naples resident Jon VanGesen. In his 35-year law enforcement career, Jon has managed administrations, multi-million dollar budgets, personnel, major investigations, SWAT Team command, and multi-jurisdictional emergencies, to name some. Jon has extensive narcotics enforcement experience and proactive plans to fight our county’s drug problems.
Some falsely say Jon VanGesen has no connection to this community. Four generations of Jon’s family live in Boundary County, and Jon is committed to keeping this community safe for his family and yours. Jon is involved in the Rotary Club and his church in Bonners Ferry. He coaches a girls’ travel soccer team consisting of girls from Boundary, Bonner and Kootenai counties. He has organized the “Shop With A Cop” event for children from Boundary and Bonner counties.
Watch the sheriff’s debate online. The link is on www.vangesen4sheriff.com. It clearly showed only Jon VanGesen has both the necessary field and administrative experience to take over the duties of the sheriff. Don’t shortchange Boundary County for this important job.
On May 21, vote for the best candidate who has the knowledge and experience to take command of the sheriff's office. Vote for Jon VanGesen.
