BCVA tournament 'spikes' interest

BONNERS FERRY — The sun came out Saturday, and so did the sand volleyball fans.  

Five teams “set” out for the Boundary County Volleyball Association tournament Aug. 17 at Two Brews Coffee Co.’s sand volleyball courts.  

The top team won $100, and second place secured a gift card to Two Brews. All teams were co-ed.  

BCVA is an adult co-ed volleyball program in Bonners Ferry with both recreational and competitive leagues. The program has been hosting league play in the community for over 20 years. 

The association usually runs from October-February on Wednesday nights indoors from 7 to 10 p.m.
