Golf fundraiser to benefit Boundary County Victim Services
Grab your clubs and dress in red, white and blue for the Fly Like an Eagle golf classic fundraiser. The event is raising funds for Boundary County Victim Services and is set for Sept. 14 at the Mirror Lake Golf Course.
The entry fee is a $100 per person charitable donation which includes green fees (18 holes), prizes and a barbecue lunch. The tournament is a scramble format, with four-person teams for a fun day of golf and fundraising for a good cause.
BCVS provides support, information, education, and referral services to victims and their immediate families, witnesses and survivors.
BCVS also has advocates available to assist with civil protection orders, restitution calculations, applications to the crime victims’ compensation program, impact statements, victims’ rights education, court escort, emergency medical advocacy and overall support.
The agenda for the day of the fundraiser is as follows: 7:45 a.m.-8:30 a.m., golf registration; 9 a.m., shotgun start; and 1:30 p.m., lunch and awards.
Don’t forget to bring cash for the games. Games included are a putting contest, KP, longest drive, accuracy, chipping into float, a silent auction and much more.
