$18,000 raised for Boundary County Victim Services
The annual Fall Festival & Fashion Show to raise funds for Boundary County Victim Services was a success, organizers said. The event took place Nov. 9 with about 80 people attending the event.
Despite a lower attendance, the event still raised almost $18,000, which is almost as much as the event raised last year.
“I was blown away by the generosity of our community this year. We had so many generous donors, sponsors, and volunteers that really helped make this year's event the best yet,” Laci Lowther, Boundary County Victim Services advocate, said. “The people who came to the fundraiser brought so much joy and support that the whole evening was delightful.”
Lowther said Boundary County Victim Services relies on community support to provide its services.
“This year, our community really lifted up our mission of providing support, services, and options to survivors of all crimes by offering confidential, nonjudgmental advocacy aimed at empowering, encouraging, and building independence,” Lowther said.
