While workmen at the Simon McDonald ranch in Drainage District No.1 were preparing a new grade on Pine Island, they uncovered a skeleton, presumably the bones of an Indian buried years ago. Several blue-colored stones and many pieces of flint fashioned in the shape of axes were found near where the skeleton lay.
