SANDPOINT — Bonners Ferry High senior Sofia Brown finished second out of five wrestlers at 138 pounds to lead the Lady Badgers to a fifth-place finish out of nine teams at the The Blizzard Girls Tournament held Saturday at Sandpoint High.

Kylie Calderone added a second-place finish in the 100-pound round robin bracket while Neveah Therrien (114) won two matches, Aubree Graves (126) three matches, to place third in their respective weight classes.

BONNERS FERRY — At the first home dual of the season against Lincoln County, Therrien and Graves were the only two Lady Badgers to wrestle and both picked up wins by pin.

Therrien, at 114 pounds, pinned Kricket Bridges in two minutes and 29 seconds while Graves, at 126 pounds, pinned Samantha Day in one minute and 39 seconds.

Bonners Ferry returns to action this Saturday at The Lakeland Girls Tournament.

SPIRIT LAKE — Gaige Johnson and Taylor Dodd picked up multiple wins as the Badgers placed fifth out of sixth teams at the Van Tuinstra Duals held Saturday at Timberlake High.

Johnson (165 pounds) picked up two wins, pinning both Joseph Torr of Timberlake and Keith Gulbrandsen of Moscow while Dodd (285) wrestled to three wins, pinning Kyle VanVleet of Kellogg, Sebastean Martin of Post Falls and Mica Nelson of East Valley.
