Property taxes due by Dec. 20

BONNERS FERRY — Boundary County Treasurer Jennifer Economu is reminding residents that property tax payments for the first half of 2024 are due by Dec. 20.

Taxpayers can pay in person at the Boundary County Courthouse, Room 27, located at 6452 Kootenai Street, during office hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Payment methods include cash, check, debit and credit cards.

Convenience fees will be charged for electronic payments. Mailed payments must be postmarked by Dec. 20 to avoid penalties.

Online payment options are available at http://www.boundarycountyid.org/site-page/pay-online.

Handicap access is located at the courthouse's rear. Individuals needing assistance can call the Treasurer's office at (208) 267-3291.

Economu cautioned taxpayers to review checks carefully and noted that post-dated checks will be returned.
