Final days for Care-N-Share pickup
Dec. 20 is the final day to pick up a tag for Care-N-Share donations. The final deadline is Dec. 21.
Donors can pick up tags from the Christmas trees at Mountain West Bank or the Boundary County Courthouse.
Cash and check donations are also being accepted to the Senior Hospitality Center Wells Fargo account or at drop points at the El Internet Northwest office or at the senior center and the Care-N-Share address: 515014 U.S.95. For questions, reach out to Linda Lederhos, Senior Center chief executive off at 208-290-1483.
The Care-N-Share program is eligible for low-income community members who can’t afford to buy gifts for their children. Care-N-Share applications have already been filled out and approved. Now, those who are able can pitch in to make sure each kid gets the right holiday gift.
This year, requests for winter clothing, and in particular, winter boots, have been filed for area youth in need, Lederhos said.
“Our town is amazing, how everyone comes through every year,” she said. “99.9 percent of the money that comes through for Care-N-Share goes directly to the kids."
