Sophomore wrestler Neveah Therrien is named Athlete of the Week for Bonners Ferry girls wrestling. Therrien (107, 22-3) walked away as the undefeated North Idaho Rumble champion after pinning Nia Avelino of Caldwell in the finals. Avelino is ranked No. 2 in Idaho girls wrestling at 107.
Therrien, the 2023 107-pound Idaho All Girls defending state champion, is currently ranked fourth in state by IdahoSports.com.
Therrien is wrestling at 107 and 114 weight classes. This season she won the M2 Mallet Invite at Rogers High School in Spokane, Wash., Lakeland Girls tournament, and the Blizzard Invite at Sandpoint. She finished second at the Hellgate Girls Invitational, Western Montana Invite and George Wild Invite in Kellogg.
