The rather arbitrary insistence that an auto license tax be paid for the first year by some 60,000 or more automobile owners of Idaho or suffer certain fines and penalties is proving very unpopular all over the state and protests are pouring into the Secretary of State office from all parts of the state.
A deal was closed this week through the Kootenai Reality Co., whereby A. H. White purchased the James La Fountain residence property in Park Addition. Mr. White expects to move into his new home in about two months. The La Fountain residence was built last spring and is strictly modern. It has five rooms, a bath and a basement.
The rangy Rathdrum High School basket team took a scientific trimming at the hands of the Bonners Ferry team at the local high school gym last Saturday night. The final score was 33 to 13.

Those who love to sing are invited to take part in a Community Chorus venture called "The Good Life," a cantata written by John W. Peterson. Earl Erickson will be directing the musical effort, and it is planned that there will be at least two accompanists.
A new Extension Homemaker's Club, geared to the interests of the new bride (anyone married within the last five years- or anyone who still feels like a new bride) is being formed.

Boundary County Back Country Access Snowmobile Club once again offered Valley View Elementary School students free rides. The snowmobile club has been giving rides to fourth and fifth grade students for five years.
The U.S. Border Patrol Spokane Sector/ Bonners Ferry Station donated 21 Dell computers to Boundary County School District 101.
Bonners Ferry Senior Jamie Greensky hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer in overtime to lead the girls to a 60-59 victory over Priest River Tuesday night.
