BCSO will discontinue Nixle notifications on Feb. 29
BOUNDARY COUNTY — The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office is discontinuing the Nixle emergency notification system on Feb. 29, as they have moved to another alert system.
The new and current notification system is Everbridge, which purchased Nixle several years back. Everbridge is phasing out the Nixle programming.
If you would like to receive notifications in the event of an emergency or incident, you must sign up for an Everbridge account.
• You can sign up by visiting the member portal on the Everbridge Website by visiting the link https://member.everbridge.net/index/311440963535101
• You may also download the Everbridge App and get notifications pushed to your mobile device. Use keywords such as Boundary Sheriff, 83805, or BCSO to connect with the Boundary Sheriff notification system.
Registration is easier than it may seem. To register with the minimum amount of contact info, simply fill out the fields with the *asterisk and click next. Once you set up your account, you can always log back into your member portal to make changes and update your information.
A minimum of one method of contact is required in the new system, however, the more information you provide, the more your notifications will be tailored to your needs.
Please sign up today to ensure you continue to receive timely notifications and alerts going forward.
