Athlete of the Week, Taren Bateman, girls basketball

Taren Bateman, a freshmen, is named Athlete of the for Bonners Ferry girls basketball team. The 5-foot-7 point guard has made her presence known on the court, as she has led the Badgers in scoring in nearly every game this season since her varsity debut. 

Bateman averages 19.8  points per game, with a season-high of 40 points against Lincoln County High School on Jan. 23. 

Bateman has an 81% shooting average, 1.7 assists per game, and 1.7 steals per game. 

Bateman scored 416 points for the season.
