BONNERS FERRY — A Boundary County man has entered a plea agreement to child enticing.

On Feb. 7, Ronald Thurmaan Childers II, 29, changed his plea to “guilty” of two counts of child enticing over the internet. In exchange the state will dismiss one count of lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 16.

With the change in plea, this case’s three-day jury trial set for Feb. 14-16 has been canceled. Childers is scheduled to be sentenced April 17.

As part of the plea agreement, one count of lewd conduct against Childers will be dismissed in exchange for the child enticement charge. Prior to the case, two counts of lewd conduct with a minor under 16 had already been dismissed by the Prosecutor.

Per Idaho Code, a conviction of enticing a minor can result in a maximum of 15 years of imprisonment.

A single sentence of lewd conduct with a minor under 16 can result in life imprisonment in the state of Idaho.
