BCSO K9 team has been recertified

Boundary County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team Buddy and his partner, Corporal Mike Valenzuela have received recertification for the Idaho K9 drug program.
Buddy, the 4-year-old male yellow lab, joined the sheriff’s office in June 2020. He is a single-purpose narcotics K9 who is well-known and loved in the community. He loves to work and is very friendly, BCSO Sheriff Dave Kramer.
Kramer said he hopes to get grants to get a second K-9 in the future to work alongside the school resource officer. Having a K9 team has been a great asset to law enforcement to the community, he said.
