Chili cook-off to support veterans, first responders
What could be better than a bowl of warm chili on a cold day? How about several different kinds of chili and some tasty cornbread to go with it.
If that sounds good, mark your calendar for Saturday, Jan. 13, for the 6th annual Chili Cook-Off.
The cook-off is organized by Tom Chaney and hosted by the VFW Post No. 3622, 6635 Lincoln St., Bonners Ferry. All proceeds will be used to provide warm items for veterans and first responders at the Boundary County Restorium.
Those wishing to do so are invited to bring their chili to enter into the cook-off or, if they want, can just taste what others have brought while you visit with family, friends and community members.
The chili cook-off will take place from noon until 4:30 p.m. at the post.
