BONNERS FERRY — Hope House of Boundary County has opened a second location in downtown Bonners Ferry in order to assist more of those in need.

Hope House is a nonprofit focused on providing free necessary items, such as clothing, food and hygiene products to Boundary County residents. Their motto is “simply here to help, no strings attached.”

Married couple Anna and Eli Pine took over Hope House in July 2022 and have maintained the Moyie Springs location. They will each operate one of the locations.

“We are available to anyone in need,” Anna Pine said. “We are here to serve the community to the best of our ability.”

Eli Pine said the Bonners Ferry location is more centrally located and will allow the nonprofit to reach residents from Naples or in-town. The Moyie location will remain open.

When it comes to donations, Hope House is always accepting nonperishable foods and hygiene products. They are currently not accepting women's clothing donations, rather they need more men's and boys clothing. Donations of children’s shoes and toys are always accepted.

Hope House plans to continue hosting community and family-friendly events, such as the Back to School Bash, community Christmas party, and family days at the fairgrounds.

The Bonners Ferry location is seeking volunteers.

In Moyie Springs, Hope House is located at 5100 Camelot Lane, Duplex A; and, in Bonners Ferry, 6389 Bonner St. Both locations are open Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
