Clark Fork resident killed in crash

| January 17, 2024 2:14 PM

A 69-year-old Clark Fork resident has died due to a Wednesday morning crash just west of Hope.

Idaho State Police said the woman was westbound at about 9:23 a.m. on Highway 200 when she lost control of her 2000 Nissan Pathfinder on the snow-covered road and went off the roadway. The vehicle struck a guardrail after entering the eastbound ditch and going down a steep embankment where it overturned.

ISP troopers said the driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Bonner General Hospital by ground ambulance where she was pronounced dead.
