| July 5, 2024 2:46 PM

Starting Monday, July 8, road crews are planning maintenance on U.S. 95 north of Bonners Ferry.

The road work, which will run through Thursday, July 11, will close lanes of traffic on the highway as crews repair the road surface in two areas, officials said.

The work will start Monday near mile marker 509.3 on a 50-foot section of the far northbound lane. Only one lane will be closed for this portion of the work, Andrew O'Neel, Boundary County public information officer, said.

On Tuesday, work will move to mile marker 511 for a 300-foot section of road and will require closure of the full width of the northbound lanes.

Motorists are asked to slow down and use caution in the construction zone.  Crews will use cones and flaggers to control traffic during this repair work which is planned to be completed on July 11.
