Delrene Daniels passed away June 25, 2024, in Spokane Valley Hospital after a short illness.

Delrene was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on Aug. 11, 1950, to Earl and Orena Lane. She grew up in Bonners Ferry, where she enjoyed horseback riding and the great outdoors. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1968. She continued her education, earning her medical records degree from Spokane Community College.

Delrene married David Daniels and added a daughter and a son to her family.  Their favorite pastime was rodeoing and horse racing.

Delrene worked at hospitals in Bonners Ferry, Kellogg, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Salem, Oregon, before retiring in Thermopolis, Wyoming.   

After retirement, Delrene returned to her home and served as Past President of the Eagles Auxiliary in Bonners Ferry, 

She played a rocking piano and loved music and dancing. She made friends wherever she went. 

In later years, she moved to Spokane to be closer to family and served as Past President of the Eagles Auxiliary of Spokane, Washington.

Delrene was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, David Daniels.

She is survived by a daughter, Kristi (Daniels) Long, and four grandchildren of Albuquerque, N.M.; and a son, Tyrone James Daniels (Shawna), and three grandchildren of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; a sister, Earlene (Jack) Riggins of Spokane; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
