Deadline nears in 'Best of' voting
BONNERS FERRY — To date, almost 17,000 votes have been cast in Best of Boundary County 2024.
The Best of Boundary County 2024 voting period closes at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 15.
"We are stewards of the community's voice," Bonners Ferry Herald media consultant Luke McMillan said. "If you want to show your support for your favorite local business and people in Boundary County, this is a good way to do it."
Boundary County businesses were nominated as the “Best of” across a multitude of categories from June 1-16. A total of 4,139 nominations were received across numerous categories.
Businesses with the top five nominations advanced to the voting period, where a winner and a runner-up will be announced in the Bonners Ferry Herald's Best of Boundary County 2024 publication, which comes out in late August.
Were you surprised or impressed by top notch customer service at one business this year? Did a cashier or bank teller go above and beyond to assist you? Do you still dream of that burger, or drink at a local restaurant? Well then give kudos to that business by way of voting for them as the “Best of” in their category.
This year, several new categories, such as “best fries,” “best volunteer,” “best coach” and much more.
Several of the races are extremely competitive with just a vote or two separating the leaders, McMillan said.
