Second Harvest returns Thursday

BONNERS FERRY — 2nd Harvest Inland Empire will return to Bonners Ferry with their free food distribution on Thursday, July 18.

“We are hoping to again serve over 250 families with around 18,000 pounds of food,” Jolyn Horton, volunteer said.  

The distribution is a drive-through event at the east end of the Boundary County Fairgrounds, from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. There will be both perishable and non-perishables items. All who would like help with their food needs are welcome, with no identification or proof of residence required, and volunteers are encouraged to help from 10 a.m. onwards at the west end.  

This truck is sponsored by: Trinity Lutheran Church, Second Harvest, and a Boundary County family. Each truck costs $1,500 so donations are always welcome. If interested in helping support this worthy community event, please leave a message at 208 267-2436.
