Aubrey Wells, Bonners Ferry High School Class of 2024 alumni, has graduated from Marine boot camp.

Wells left Bonners Ferry in March 2024 as a civilian and graduated from Marine boot camp on June 7, as a private in the United States Marine Corps.  After 13-weeks, Wells graduated with a smile on her face and a confidence that was second to none.

Moreover, Wells graduated as a marksman and proudly wears her expert marksmanship badge on her uniform.

Wells’ military occupational specialty is a “2111” which is a small arms repairer and technician.  Upon graduating from technical school at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia, in October 2024, she will perform inspections, maintenance, dispersion and repair of all small arms for the Marine Corps.

This is a coveted position in the USMC which will provide her hands-on experience with a variety of small arms to include handguns, M16s, and M4 rifles and other weapons that come to the armory.

At her time in BFHS, Wells had an accomplished wrestling career, finishing second at the Idaho All Girls Wrestling State Tournament for the 165-weight class, giving the Badgers the edge to take third in state. She finished second at District I-II tournament and was a district champion in 2023.
