Come see the big top on June 16

BONNERS FERRY — The circus is coming to town, and offering a look behind the curtain before the performance.

Sponsored by the  Bonners Ferry Rotary Club, the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is coming to Bonners Ferry on Sunday, June 16. Shows will be held at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Boundary County Fairgrounds.

C&M Circus has been providing quality, local family entertainment for 38 years. This authentic One-Ring, Big Top Circus has been featured on the A&E Special, “Under the Big Top”, Nick News: “On the Road with Circus Kids” and most recently OETA's “Big Top Town”. 

For 32 weeks of the year, Culpepper & Merriweather circus brings an action-packed 90-minute show to over 200 towns in 17 different states.

This year, C&M Circus is excited to unveil its new 2024 performance featuring big cats presented by Trey Key, their aerialist extraordinaire Simone on the trapeze, the 10th generation Loyal Bareback Horse Riders, the Perez Daredevil Duo on the tight rope and wheel of destiny, Elizabeth Ayala's incredible foot juggling and hair hang and everyone's favorite circus clown Leo Acton. 

Everyone is invited to watch the big top rise, at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 16 and get a tour of the grounds and get a behind -the-scenes look at the show. Visitors will learn about life on the road and animal care. 

At 1 p.m. events open up with pony rides, moon bounce, giant slide, face painting and the concession stand. The box office  will also be open at this time as well. 

The 90-minute shows will take place at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. 

Tickets for adults cost $13, while children aged 2-12 and seniors (aged 65 and above) can purchase tickets at a discounted rate of $8.

Advance tickets can be purchased before Sunday, June 16,  from these locations: In Bonners Ferry: Century 21 Four Seasons Realty Mountain West Bank Froyo Mama. In Naples: Naples General Store In Moyie Springs: The Moyie Store.

The box office will open for ticket sales an hour before each show. Tickets for adults will be $16, while tickets for children aged 2-12 and seniors (aged 65 and above) will be $9.
