Hooper named Curley Creek Firefighter of the year

CURLEY CREEK — Dan Hooper was named the 2023 Firefighter of the Year for the Curley Creek Volunteer Fire District at the annual all-members meeting on May 26.
This was the first time a CCVFD has issued the award.
The board thanked Hooper for his many years of dedicated and outstanding performance that has not gone unnoticed.
"[Hooper] exemplifies the best qualities that a volunteer firefighter can possess. On behalf of the Curley Creek community, we thank you for your service," the award read.
