2024 4th of July Events

| June 27, 2024 1:00 AM

BOUNDARY COUNTY — Fourth of July will be here before we know it, and there are more local events than in past years.

If you’re in Bonners Ferry the morning of the Fourth, stop by the 4th of July Freedom Festival, a free family block party hosted by businesses on south Main and Lincoln streets. There will be games, bounce houses, live music, a motorcycle and car show, and a beer garden presented by Liberty Lanes Bar & Grill.

The block party starts at 11 a.m. outside of the Simple Simons, Elite Tire, Burger Express and Liberty Lanes.

The Bonners Ferry 4th of July parade begins in historic downtown at 3 p.m. After, live music will be at the Fairgrounds, including local groups, such as Spool Effect and the Bonners Ferry Community Orchestra. Grab your family, chairs and bring some snacks for an afternoon of fun.

Closing ceremonies will be at 9:15 p.m., and the fireworks start at 10 p.m.

The 21st annual Eastport 4th of July parade starts at 1 p.m. All U.S. and Canadian residents are encouraged to participate or be spectators. Parade line-up starts at Frontier Trading at noon.

Grand marshals include Rick and Barb Henslee. A potluck will follow at Hall Mountain Fire Department Station 3, behind Good Grief at 1:30 p.m. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided. Bring a side dish or dessert that feeds six to eight people. Organizers also suggest those attending bring a chair and blankets.

Fireworks will be at Feist Creek.
