Connie Lee Jeppesen Roland, 73

| March 7, 2024 1:00 AM

Connie Lee Jeppesen Roland passed away quietly Sunday morning, Feb. 25, 2024. Her death was from the effects of Alzheimer's dementia.

A longtime resident of Spokane, Wash., and Post Falls, Idaho, Connie was the youngest child born to Roma Petersen and Charles Blair Jeppesen in Brigham City, Utah. Her older siblings were brothers, Larry and Darwin, and her sister, Lola.

After the sudden death of their father, Connie moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in early childhood. She attended both primary and secondary schools there, graduating from Bonners Ferry High School in 1968. Connie met her high school sweetheart Robert C. Roland there and then married him in December 1969 in Honolulu, Hawaii, while R.C. was on leave during his Vietnam War service. Connie attended Kelsey-Baird secretarial school and worked for several years before starting their family. She and R.C. raised four children, Kyndra, Chad, Kiersten and Blair in Spokane on the South Hill.

Connie was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in numerous callings and gave much of her time and talents to both the Young Women and Relief Society organizations. Connie loved to quilt and sew, and she created beautiful things in her craft room. She played tennis in her adulthood and taught all her children how to play. She also enjoyed golfing and bowling and joined women's leagues for both. Her children were also involved in many different sports, and she was there for all the practices and games, cheering them on.

Connie was vibrant, witty, generous and never met a stranger. Her 73 years were full of love, times well spent at the lake and the Arizona sunshine during the winter.

She is preceded in death by Roma (mother), Charles Blair (father), and Larry and Darwin (brothers). She is survived by Lola (sister), R.C. (husband), Kyndra, Chad, Kiersten and Blair (children), and 17 of the most good-looking grandchildren ever.

Services will be held Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Havana LDS chapel with a graveside service immediately following at Fairmont Memorial.
