Senior team captains Taylor Sumpter and Ava Frederickson are named Athlete of the Week for Badger softball.
Taylor is the starting varsity pitcher and nabbed eight strikeouts in the season opener, and earned the team's only RBI.
Ava is great for judging pop flies. In the season opener, Ava caught two pop flies and worked the only double play of the game. She is confident in the batting box.
