BCSD spring cleaning, prepping for state testing

| March 14, 2024 1:00 AM

Spring is just around the corner and that means it’s time for spring cleaning as the Boundary County School District is cleaning out the old curriculum materials as well as gearing up for the ISAT and IRI testing.

BCSD will be cleaning out the curriculum warehouse. This cleanout includes the removal of all the old curriculum items and materials. All materials and curriculum will be available on display for the public to view and take what they want. Items range from preschool to high school.

Materials will be available to the public through March 21, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Spring also means it’s time, once again, for ISAT and IRI testing, school district officials said.

“This is an exciting time for students to show what they have learned over the course of the school year. Educators, administrators, parents and students need to keep in mind that this is just one snapshot in time, growth is being made every day. It is a time to celebrate our students and all of their accomplishments over the course of the school year,” Andrea Fuentes, director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, said.

Area residents interested in helping with proctoring the ISAT or IRI, are asked to contact the district office at 208-267-3146, ext. 2015. For questions about the curriculum, call the office and ask for the curriculum department.

The district office is located at 7188 Oak St. in Bonners Ferry.
