PREP BASEBALL: Woods strikes out five, first season win

SPOKANE — Badger baseball (1-4) earned their first season win against the North Central Wolfpack (1-2) of the 2A/3A/4A Greater Spokane League, 6-4 on Thursday, March 14.

Sophomore Jack Woods pitcher struck out five, with one hit and one run against in five innings for the Badgers. Junior Jess Fess also pitched for Bonners for three innings with five hits and three runs against.

Badger baseball has a busy weekend on the road and will play Grangeville on Friday and Lakeland on Saturday in double headers. 

The win comes fresh off the 12-2 loss to 1A Colville (Washington classification). The Crimson Hawks (3-2) struck out eight Badgers and earned 16 hits to Bonners four. 

Colville’s Kyle Bradfiled batted 1.000 earning a hit at all four plate appearances. Colville earned nine RBIs to finish off the Badgers.
