Vote for Dave Schuman for county sheriff

| March 21, 2024 1:00 AM

The most important election, besides the presidential, is coming up on May 21 — the choice for Boundary County sheriff. There will be no final vote in November; this is it.

You have three candidates running — one who only has about six years of experience as a full-time law enforcement officer, one who has only lived in Boundary County for three years and works and plays in Bonner County, and Dave Schuman who has been a Boundary County deputy going on 25 years, with 20 years as a military police officer prior to moving here.

Dave is a no-nonsense type of officer who does his job and maintains his personal life with integrity and honesty. His campaign is run on truth and transparency; you won’t find him joining new groups and going out making new friends just to get elected, he is not a politician. He does not tolerate corruption, cronyism or nepotism in the workplace, only fairness and equality. Dave has plans for designing a new jail, budgets, training and community involvement with timelines to make it happen — this comes from his experience.

This is too important of a position, the leading law enforcement officer in Boundary County. Don’t vote because they are someone you went to school with or who has smiled and made you his new best friend; vote for the best person for the job. With the current world situation, I want someone that I know will back up the people who live here and not cower to the feds.
