Missing twin girls found Wednesday afternoon

BONNERS FERRY — Two missing twin girls were found Wednesday afternoon.

The twin 9-year-old girls went missing some time early Wednesday morning in the area of LaBrosse Hill Road in Bonners Ferry.

Searchers estimated the sisters left their home some time between midnight and 5:50 a.m. Wednesday morning. Boundary County Public Information Officer Andrew O'Neal announced in a press release.

Searchers concentrated their efforts around El Paso Street, where the girls’ bicycles were found Wednesday morning.

Searchers included trained volunteers from BCSDRT, Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, Bonners Ferry Police Department, Kootenai Tribal Police, Paradise Valley Fire District and South Boundary Fire District.
