Election letter deadline set
The Bonners Ferry Herald welcomes letters from our readers. All letters to the editor MUST be 250 words or less AND include the author’s hometown, complete address, and telephone number for verification. (Only the author’s name and city of residence will be published.) Letters that do not include this information will not be published.
No letters on the May 21 primary election will be accepted after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14. No election-related letters above 250 words will be published to ensure there is room to run all letters that meet guidelines.
The Herald reserves the right to hold letters that are more than 250 words until space becomes available. Letters in poor taste or libelous or that are mass-produced will be edited or not published. Personal attacks on private individuals will not be published.
The authors of non-election letters that are longer than 250 words can either rewrite them to fit guidelines or are given the option of having them edited by the Herald editorial board. They can also ask they be considered for a My Turn (guest opinion) column, which runs as space is available.
Please send letters to the Bonners Ferry Herald, P.O. Box 539, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805; email them to news@bonnersferryherald.com or clobsinger@bonnercountydailybee.com; or submit them on our website by clicking on “All Sections” in the upper left corner, scrolling down to “Submissions” and selecting “Submit a Letter.”
