Boundary Search and Dive Rescue hosts the ISSAR Summer Conference

Each year the Idaho State Search and Rescue Summer Conference is hosted by a different search and rescue team throughout the state. For 2024, the Boundary Search and Dive Rescue Team is hosting the three day meeting on June 28, 29 and 30. 

The conference will be held in various locations throughout Boundary County, with the primary location being the Kootenai River Inn & casino 

BSDRT is a non profit organization that works under the authority of the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office. The team consists of volunteers who give their time and even dollars to assist the sheriff’s office with searches for lost hikers, hunters, water rescues and recoveries. 

The Cost to attend is $40 per person, if registered before May 15. Late registration is $50 per person. Fees may be paid in advance or at check in.

Lodging is available with a group rate at the Kootenai River Inn & Casino. There are other hotels in the area, as well, including Dodge Peak Lodge, Log Inn, and Kootenai Valley Motel. For those who wish to camp, dry camping is available nearby with RSVP.
