Support VanGesen, Lowman in upcoming election

| May 9, 2024 1:00 AM

I am supporting Jon VanGesen for Boundary County sheriff, and Chuck Lowman for the Idaho House of Representative 1B seat. Each brings his own work and experiences for the job.

Jon VanGesen brings many years of experience in law enforcement which his opponents do not have. He brings knowledge of better wages for deputies, improvement in training, and communication skills. He also brings a deep understanding of caring for our children and the people of Boundary County. Jon also wants to bring an awareness of policing to our youth by implementing a program for youth supported by our local police organizations. Jon is aware of the growth in our area and with it the problems of drugs among the many problems growth will bring. He is dedicated to the youth and people of our area with strong support for wages and training for our deputies.

I also support Chuck Lowman, who is a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and spent nine months on the DMZ in Korea. He served the spiritual needs of our soldiers, sailors, and airmen as an Army chaplain for over 10 years. He supports students and teachers, especially in our rural areas. He also supports the needs of veterans, law enforcement, loggers, farmers, and ranchers and accessibility to our public lands for all Idahoans. He and his family are very active in their church and Chuck has done research and land management activities for Idaho Fish and Game after studying Wildlife Management at the University of Idaho.
