Pride and Prejudice presented by BFHS drama

| May 15, 2024 1:00 AM

BONNERS FERRY—“Pride and Prejudice” is coming to the Bonners Ferry High School this week, May 16-18.

Get ready to step into Regency England with the charming and quaint world of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” as presented by the BFHS after school drama program.

Love has come to the Bennet family’s house, but with some unexpected twists. The Bennet sisters find themselves amidst a whirlwind of suitors, each with their own quirks and eccentricities, all masterminded by the well-intentioned but often comically misguided efforts of their dear mother, Mrs. Bennet. This perfectly juxtaposed characters created by the renowned Jane Austen and cast by director Kelly Collett will have you breathless with laughter.

But like all the great classics through all the humor and hilarity, it weaves a beautiful story of love, family loyalties and the struggle for clarity in a chaotic world. A play for all ages that will revive a love for the classics in anyone. Mark your calendars for May 16, 17, and 18, and gather the whole family for an evening filled with joy and laughter. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May16, Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18 at 7 p.m. A matinee  will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday. All performances will take place  at Becker Auditorium.

Admission will be $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.
