Timothy Houck

Timothy James Houck passed away in Torrance, Calif., on April 24, 2024.

He was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on April 10, 1945, to Raymond and Frances Houck.

One of six children, he is survived by his wife, Sheri Sutter; daughters, Ericka (James) of Denver, Colo., and Sara (Matt) of Seattle, Wash.; stepsons, Dennis (Julie) of Lizella, Ga., and Gordon of Torrance; grandchildren, Eli, Ruby, Frances, Edie, Jacob, Nick, and Alex; brother, Mike (Sheila) of Missoula, Mont.; a sister, Cindy (Dean) of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; a brother, Randy of Oceanside, Calif.; and a sister, Teresa (Bob) of Philomath, Ore.

Tim graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1963 and Eastern Washington University in 1972. He lived in Spokane, Wash.; Tacoma, Wash.; and Anchorage, Alaska, before settling in the South Bay in 1986. He worked for many years as a project manager, overseeing the remodel of many South Bay hospitals and other facilities.

He was a kind man, had a great sense of humor, was passionate about cars and motorcycles, and was also king of the one-liner. He will be greatly missed.
