Pancake breakfasts at the Airport start Saturday
THREE MILE — The local Experimental Aircraft Association is again holding huckleberry pancake breakfasts on the last Saturday of each month. The breakfasts are being held now through September at the Boundary County Airport.
The first breakfast is Saturday, May 25, 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
All proceeds from the breakfasts go to student pilot scholarships to assist young folks learning to fly. Several former scholarship recipients have gone on to make a career of flying.
Drive in or fly in; enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs. $10 suggested donation. Often, unique aircraft fly in to add further interest to the event.
Community residents are invited to stop by, enjoy visiting with neighbors, look at the aircraft — and support young folks with a dream of flying.
The event is in part sponsored by 3 Mile Café, Super 1 Foods and the Bonners Ferry Rotary Club.
