BONNERS FERRY — Local artists have until Friday, June 10, to sign up as one of the stops for the invited Boundary County Artist Studio Tour, a self-guided art tour coming in September.

Hannah Sucsy, owner of teascarlet Fine Art is organizing the studio tour with the goal of featuring  a variety of talented local artists

“Since opening my gallery, I have met dozens of talented local artists who are looking for ways to promote and profit from their work,” Suscy said. “I wanted to create an opportunity for these artists to be discovered and an opportunity for the community to experience the exceptional art being created here.”

Suscy said her hope is that a diverse range of artists will take advantage of the tour bringing art collectors straight to their studio (or garage, living room, or wherever).

“I hope the community takes advantage of a free event that will be both entertaining and educational,” she said. “I hope that the tour inspires connections and brings the community together through art.”

Boundary County is home to hundreds of amazing artists. Suscy said, adding the tour will showcase these talented individuals.

“Some create in forms we typically think of as art, and many others in less-conventional ways,” she added. “I love discovering the many variations of creative work happening all around me. Networking is vital for several reasons: collaboration opportunities, exposure and visibility, knowledge sharing, and support.”

The community’s artists can apply to join the tour, which is scheduled for Sept 14-15. Applications are due June 1 and can be found at teascarlet.com.
