Alleging that his "good name" as a man and attorney was injured recently by statements made by Jas. Burns following a lawsuit in which Burns was the plaintiff, S.E. Henry, County Attorney, on Saturday filed a suit for $25,000 damages against Burns in the district court.
A rural mail route serving the people of the Paradise Valley district, will be established July 18. The new route will serve nearly all the territory east and southeast of Bonners Ferry, and will afford improved mail facilities to approximately 125 families.
The first definite steps toward the creation of a new reclamation district in the Kootenai Valley were taken last Saturday afternoon when land owners from the Copeland Bend district voted to petition the district court to act in conformity with drainage and set a date for a hearing.

Repairs are being completed daily, according to reports, and play at the new golf course just south of Bonners Ferry may begin as early as the Fourth of July. A grand opening is being planned and a contest is now underway to name the course.
Jeannie Johnson, a junior of BFHS was recently notified that she is to be featured in the eighth annual edition of Who's Who Among American High School Students.
The Boundary County Athletic Assn. held its last meeting for the year and Len "Corky" Brant was elected president to serve the 1974-75 term.

It seems Randi Flory has purchased Riverside Auto Center's last new General Motors car- the 2010 black Camaro unveiled before a standing-room-only crowd on May 20. "This ends the sales of GM and Chevrolet," said Wendy Hawks, vice-president of the fourth generation downtown Bonners Ferry dealership.
An Idaho State police corporal commended Boundary County sheriff's deputy Dave McClelland with saving the life of a Coeur D' Alene man who was critically injured in an accident north of Bonners Ferry.
The four Bonners Ferry High School students who walked across Boundary County last year are gearing up for their next adventure and taking troops with them. Taylor Tompke, Colton Watt, Blake Skjeveland and Dylan Sweeney will be joined by Spencer Henslee, Micah Krmpotich and Jake Watt when they take a 620 mile bike ride across Idaho - the long part.
