Community's generosity helping many in area

Thank you to our generous community members and businesses supporting the Selkirk Association of Realtors' annual Fall Food Drive benefitting our local Community Action Partnership Food program. This year, with your help, we donated $1703.22 and 917 pounds of food/provisions to our local Bonners Ferry Food Bank.

In 2024, so far, the food bank has provided 500 food boxes to households in Boundary County; they offer five food boxes each year per household. They had 53 new households apply and receive nutrition services thus far in 2024. They have also given out, in the form of weekly grocery and food boxes, over 27,000 pounds of food to clients. In addition, GROW the Community Garden has supplied over 1,000 pounds of fresh produce. Homestead Produce is currently donating 100 dozen eggs each week for clients.

Liz Bigsby-Sanborn has been the community engagement liaison for Community Action Partnership for many years and is an invaluable resource helping our community members with grace and compassion.
