BCSD 24-25 information and important dates
Tuesday, Sept. 3 is the first day of school for the Boundary County School District No. 101.
BCSD has a four-day school week, meeting Monday-Thursday. There will be no schools on Fridays.
Students may register at any time during the regular school office hours by contacting the schools. Bonners Ferry High School and Boundary County Middle School will combine efforts and have a homework academy on Fridays for students that wish to receive additional help.

Busing information regarding bus routes and pick-up/drop-off points can be obtained from Transportation Director, Bill Irwin, at 208-267-2425. Buses will be in full operation starting Tuesday, Sept. 3. Those families who qualify for in-lieu of transportation reimbursement can pick up an application at the district office or contact Irwin. School handbooks will be sent home with students during the first week of school or you can find them on BCSD’s website. Extra copies of the handbook are available at each school office.
Meals- All students have free breakfast and lunch. Please call Cindy Sumpter, Food Service Director at 208-267-5519 if you have any questions. The first meals for students is Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Student insurance forms are available at each of the school offices and on the district’s website. It is imperative that a child participating in sports have insurance coverage.
School entry age is explicit in Idaho Code. For entry into kindergarten, a child must be five years of age on or before Sept. 1 of the school year in which the child is to enroll. For a child enrolling in first grade, the age of six must be reached on or before the first day of Sept. Of the year in which the child is to enroll. If a child has completed a 450-hour kindergarten public or private out-of-state program but is not six on or before Sept. 1 of the year of enrollment, that child shall be able to enter first grade. The Idaho Legislature has not allowed for any flexibility in the law.
Pre-registration is not required for any student currently enrolled in BCSD. A copy of the child’s birth certificate and immunization is required for incoming students of all ages.
